The Eddie’s Story
It begins in 1948 when, as a young boy, EDDIE LOO arrives from China and starts delivering food supplies to Yuma’s most popular restaurants. He is fascinated by the taste and smells of the unfamiliar ingredients and soon develops an appreciation for locally inspired cooking – and the people who kindly receive him. Later, he became an accountant, an entrepreneur, and a citrus grower in East San Luis. Through it all, Eddie maintained his fondness for the area’s culinary tradition and community spirit. In his memory, we bring you EDDIE’S FOOD & DRINK, an 11,000 sq ft entertainment plaza built on land that overlooks his former citrus ranch.
